Seeds of Cariniana ianeirensis.

Seeds of Cariniana ianeirensis based on Jardim et al. 4652 from Bahia, Brazil. The seed on the left is 6.5 cm long from the tip of the wing to the end of the seed. Inside of the fruit, the seed is oriented away from the base of the fruit. Note that the line running through the seed is the funicle and that the seed is rounded and narrowly carinate on the surace away from the columella (seed on left) and more-or-less flat on the surface facing the columella (seed on right).
